A little about me...
I am retired from practicing law so that I can have free time to travel and enjoy life. I have always tended to march to the beat of a different drum and not be influenced by mass opinion if I don't think it is right. I am an idealist, a liberal politically and an anti-war activist. I possess strength of character, strong ethics, and am compassionate and respectful of others. I also forgive easily and don't hold grudges.
About the one I'm looking for...
Assertive, positive, dependable, honest, respectful and looking for a long term relationship. Also prefer someone who spends time keeping body, mind and spirit in shape. If I were to enter into a serious relationship, I would give and expect loyalty, honesty, respect and trust. I would like a companion to share common interests, but also expect each of us to allow the other the freedom to pursue his/her own separate interests as long as they didn't interfere with the ethics or morals of the other.

I really enjoy reading, movies and taking my son's Jack Russell to the dog park. I devote part of each day to yoga and meditation. I enjoy meeting people from other cultures and walks of life and expanding my horizons both intellectually and spiritually. I also enjoy classical music, as well as other types of music. I love the theater; I have season tickets to the Kennedy Center. I like sunrise at the beach, the desert in the Southwest, romantic dinners and starry skies (when I was a child, my father introduced me to the wonders of the universe through his telescope). I also love to travel. I spent a month in South America (Chile and Brazil) and several weeks in Europe (London, Paris, Venice and Rome) with friends. I am now in Maryland and spending time with my son.
