A little about me...
You will find that I am somewhat shy,especially at first. I like to read, love sitting around talking and laughing with friends. I enjoy trying new things. Love travel and can be talked into spur of the moment activities. believe money is necessary to live,but not the point. I'm a font of meaningless information and somewhat of an intellectual. Also, a dedicated follower of the Yankees. I enjoy watching "Weeds", "The Big C" and "Dexter". I like to walk and do yoga. Just joined a gym to get more serious about exercise and really like it so far. Working on meditation as I heard it is good for the mind. I like puns, word games (with a weakness for Scrabble) and people who know the difference between its and it's. Over educated--with a background in history--under achiever with a sense of humor and of the absurd. I'm politically liberal--probably very liberal. Have a once secret crush on Keith Olbermann.

About the one I'm looking for...
Seeking a long term relationship with a man I enjoy talking with. Must have sense of adventure, sense of humor, ability to deal with roadblocks and be open to new ideas. Willing or even eager to talk out problems, as I am initially pretty hesitant to open up, but know that if we don't talk things out, they just fester. Someone who brings new and interesting things to my life.

I'd just like to add...
Have 2 children (one at college and one in high school), one cat and one large dog (both at home) and a smallish house. I am a good cook, but not interested in cooking 7 days a week. I like independent and foreign films, but nothing too bloody
or scary. I like music, except for bluegrass and anything inane or with excessively obscene lyrics. I really really can't dance. I like all different kinds of food: barbarque, Chinese, sushi, Italian, French, plain American, Mexican, etc. I do smoke, but never indoors and not very often. I am late quite often--this is not personal, just my relation to time.
